Ok people. I've been on Facebook, on Myspace, writing emails, writing comments and making phone calls for the past week and this is the reason why.
In 2006, most of you know that one of our chapter sisters passed away. Jenn Chow. She was the source for laughter, for advice, for a shoulder to lean on, for a friend, and most important, she defined the characteristics and qualities of a TRUE sister. Her loss haunts us til this day, but we learned not to mourn over her death, but to embrace the life that she had.
On April 20th to the 21st, I will be participating in the Relay for Life. A walk that pertains to the American Cancer Society which my organization has adopted as a part of it's philanthropy.
I was wondering if you were interested in donating money to this relay. Any contribution would be so amazing and very much so appreciated. A dollar even would be amazing because every dollar counts. **Donations of $10 and up will place your name on our banner
I understand that many people I have as friends on here are young, and may not have a credit card (to make an online donation), or broke but honestly, any donation will matter and I know that most of you have at least 1, 5, even 10 dollars to spare. Don't eat at BK for just ONE day or don't buy something you know you don't need. Some people have flat out already told me no because they think it's dumb. It's like you're sayin "No, I do not want to save a life."
It's been quite the struggle without J. Chow, but we are doing our best to embrace her life, and to do things like this that may help to find a cure. Please help.
