Hey guys,
I was wondering if like there are stereotypes for people who join Asian Greeks. Like, "all the smart girls join APhiG" or something. It can be either good or bad stereotypes.
I'm just interest to hear what people think, and to see if it differs from campus to campus.
Please, let's keep this civilized yet enlightening!

Is it me or are people afraid to answer this post because they don't want to offend anyone? Hahahaha
How about everyone list the stereotypes they hear from OTHERS about their OWN instead, so that way if anything you're making fun of yourself and not talking shit about anyone else? Keep in mind you're not listing your faults as an RSO, but just listing the rumors you hear about it from other people (through the grapevine and all that jazz).
Hell I'll even start it off:
"Lambdas only hang out with and only look out for their own, and more often than not are the instigators when shit happens within the asian RSOs. They don't give a damn about anyone else, are rowdy, and border on being overzealous. In a word: stuck-up."
Or so I hear. ;)

i'll bite.
i'm a bit oblivious, so i can only speak to albany. but in albany i guess we're the "party girls". some of us are also seen as a bit bitchy i think. *shrug hahaha, like i said, i dun realli pay attention to what people say.

haha how are you girls the "party girls"? i can think of like 3 sisters that i would expect to see at a party, the rest dont like to drink nor go out no offense or anything gayle...

I've heard a buncha things about PDPsi...
...I've heard we're the stupid fraternity - basically we just aren't smart
...I've heard we're the involved on campus fraternity
...I've heard we're leaders
...I've heard we're the culturally aware ones
Just a few
About other orgs:
I've heard KPL is the culturally aware sorority
I've heard Sigmas is the sorority for women's power (not necessarily feminists but the one's really into female issues)
I've heard KDPhi is the hardcore sorority, but I've also heard its the girly sorority
Note: These are NOT my opinions but just things I've heard

I've heard a buncha things about GREEKS IN BOSTON
.............PDPSI
...I've heard we're mellow and easy going
...I've heard we're pertty big on campus
...I've heard that we don't socialize as much with other outside people.
...I've heard that they hangout with NEU KPL and DYS alot.
...I've heard we're different from Umass PDPSI.
About other orgs in BOSTON!!!!
I've heard NEU KPL sisters are pertty good looking specially the old ones!!!
I've heard BOSTON LAMBDAS are pertty chill and they hangout with Kdphi alot.
I've heard BOSTON Kdphi, the older sisters are HOT but most of them graduated. I also heard that they know how to have fun and party up no matter what.
I've heard DYS are pertty big around Boston. I also heard that they tend to be everywhere.
Note: These are NOT my opinions but just things I've heard in BOSTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As for what I think?
most of the Greek Orgs. in boston are pertty chill with each other. I threw a party last friday and it was nice to see everyone there. People say it is kinda weird and funny to see KPL, KDPHI, DYS, SIGMA, and Lambdas all chilling at the same party. I think it is great that we can all party it up with each other.

damn right aphig's are smart! lol just kiddin. i'm not going to say what i heard because i don't think people should focus on stereotypes at all, ESPECIALLY greeks. it seems that sometimes greeks are the ones that are actually talking about reputations and stereotypes. i'm not pointing fingers but i am aware there are some that do, and that's not what we're suppose to be about. know what i mean? let's just do what we do and ignore the prejudice and negativity people have to say. =)

haha..well, since we're the only asian greek life in uconn (in CT, actually) , we've only heard that we're cliquey.
would love to hear what others think of uconn kappas, other than our non-greeks on campus who only categorizes us as sorority girls, aka party girls
